Project Description

Agnew::Beck worked with Kawerak staff to facilitate two-day Village Suicide Prevention Coalition trainings in each of the 15 villages in the region. Using the Village Wellness Team Workbook, Agnew::Beck worked with project staff to build the capacity of village coalitions to increase community wellness. Each workshop included exercises to complete a community assessment, identify needs, resources and strengths, identify gaps in services, define roles and responsibilities of coalition members, identify goals and develop action plans to ensure at-risk youth receive services.

Norton Sound Health Services Regional Suicide Prevention Facilitation

The purpose of this project was to assist the Norton Sound Health Corporation by providing preparation and facilitation for the regional suicide prevention workshop that was held in Nome on May 12th and 13th, 2009.
