Hillside District Plan
Project Date: September 2006 - May 2008
Project Manager : David Black, Program Manager;
Chris Beck, Plan Development Manager
Location: Hillside District, Anchorage
Project Description
The Hillside District Plan (HDP) was commissioned to provide greater specificity for land use and public services than the municipality-wide Anchorage 2020 Comprehensive Plan and to replace the Hillside Wastewater Management Plan. An area with complex land use and infrastructure issues, the Hillside District Plan required careful consideration of multiple viewpoints to establish sound public policy that reflects the vision of residents and landowners for future Hillside growth.
Agnew::Beck's role in this project included managing the land use component of the plan and guiding the work of subcontractors in six topic areas to perform a comprehensive development suitability analysis and create an integrated set of policies on land use, open space and recreation, drainage, roads and trails, public water and sewer, and onsite wastewater.
The HDP was adopted by the Anchorage Assembly April 13, 2010. Please contact the Municipality of Anchorage Planning Department with questions about the finalized plan.
